Why does the school hold information about you or your child?

How do we use personal information?
Information relating to you and your child is used to ensure our records are accurate and current. This helps staff make informed decisions, tailor provision, and plan appropriate educational, wellbeing and support services.
With your consent, personal information may also be used to apply for additional funding, specialist services or targeted support to meet your child’s needs.
How do we keep your information safe and confidential?
All members of the school workforce have a legal responsibility to protect the confidentiality of personal information, except in exceptional circumstances where there may be concerns regarding the safety of a child or others.
The school operates a strict confidentiality code which all staff must follow.
We use secure systems that include password protection, encryption and identity verification to prevent unauthorised access to data.
The law and your personal information
Schools are required by law to share certain information with authorised bodies in line with government guidance and legislation. We will not share personal data about you or your child without consent unless there is a legal obligation to do so.
